3. When was the Children's Aid Foundation founded?
The Children's Aid Foundation was founded in 1979.
4. How is the Children's Aid Foundation different from the Children's Aid Society?
The Children's Aid Foundation is a fundraising body for the Children's Aid Society. We have a separate Board of Directors and do not receive government funding. The Children's Aid Society receives government funding and is responsible for child welfare.

5. What kind of volunteers do you need?
We need volunteers who can spare time during the day to assist us with administrative tasks and preparing for events. We also need volunteers to help out at our events. To find out more or to become a volunteer, please visit our Volunteer page.
6. What types of programs does the Foundation fund?
The mission of the Children's Aid Foundation is to improve the lives of abused, neglected and high-risk children through Prevention, Enrichment and Education. To this end, the Foundation has created a number of special funds to support the children and families served by our partner child welfare agencies.
7. What makes the Children's Aid Foundation unique?
The Children’s Aid Foundation is unique because 100% of all donations go directly to funding programs for abused, neglected and high-risk children, thereby generating a maximum return for your gift. The Foundation’s administrative expenses are funded by a private endowment.

8. How do I make a donation? Will I get a tax receipt?
To make a donation to the Children’s Aid Foundation click on “Donate Now”. You can make a monthly donation, general donation, memorial donation or a tribute donation by completing our online donation form. You will receive an electronic tax receipt via email following your online donation.
To donate by phone, call (416) 923-0924 or by mail please send a cheque or money order made payable to the “Children’s Aid Foundation” and mail it to 25 Spadina Road, Toronto ON, M5R 2S9. A tax receipt will be mailed to you at a later date when your donation has been processed.
9. Are funds distributed provincially or nationally? Can they be?
We fund programs across Canada through our partnerships with the Child Welfare League of Canada. We can therefore direct funds to child welfare agencies providing a variety of programs and services to children at risk across the country.
10. Do you accept product donations?
Children's Aid Foundation does accept product and in-kind donations. Please contact us to find out more.
