Johnny Reid raises $111,000!
On March 23rd, 2011 The Children’s Aid Foundation was presented with a cheque for $111,000 by Johnny Reid and his team. The Foundation was thrilled to have Johnny Reid, his lovely wife and his team visit us at 25 Spadina Rd. Johnny spent the morning with some of the youth we support learning first hand of their challenges and the work we do through the Foundation. As a dedicated family man and father of four, his genuine interest and heart was apparent as he chatted with each of our youth with ease.
Through his Canadian Tour, A Place Called Love, Johnny Reid performed across the country and raised funds and awareness for abused and neglected children and youth. Johnny teamed up with the Foundation to sell “Johnny Reid Bears” and personally recorded lullaby CD’s during his tour. 100% of all proceeds from the sales of the bears have gone to support children and youth in need across Canada.
Thank you Johnny for believing in change and giving our youth hope.
The Children's Aid Foundation congratulates Johnny Reid for being presented the 2011 Humanitarian Award by the Canadian Country Music Association.
