Happy New Year from the Children's Aid Foundation! This holiday season was a busy one for the Foundation. With Surrogate Santa, JJ Bear, Holiday Season Celebration and cheque presentations from CIBC and the S'port for Kids Foundation all going on in December, we certainly had a lot to do!
The Children's Aid Foundation receives a "miracle"
For the past 10 years, CIBC and the Children's Aid Foundation have worked together to help enrich the lives of children and youth in the care of child welfare agencies. The CIBC Miracle Fund was created to help level the playing field and to provide opportunities for children in care to participate in events or outings that their families are not able to afford. 30th Holiday Season Celebration
On December 20th the Children's Aid Foundation spread some holiday cheer at the 30th annual Holiday Season Celebration. The party, which was held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto, brought together 1,000 foster children and their families for a fun-filled day of movies, food, activities, and even an appearance by Santa! S'port for Kids Play Fund
For most children, playing sports is a memorable and important part of their childhood experience. Yet for children who grow up in poverty or in the care of child welfare agencies, this is often not the case due to the financial commitments of playing a sport. [ Read more ]

Bon voyage to Fiona St. Clair
This year the Children's Aid Foundation will be saying goodbye to one of our valued volunteers, Fiona St. Clair. Since 1997, Fiona has been instrumental in planning and executing the travel packages that are such an exciting part of the live auction at our annual Teddy Bear Affair. [ Read more ]
