Night

A Night of Celebration!

Recognition Night honours youth in the care of the Children's Aid Society who are post-secondary graduates and/or scholarship winners. In addition to recognizing the academic successes of these youth, Recognition Night also provides the Children's Aid Foundation with the opportunity to recognize the companies and individuals who give so much to make a difference.

2007 Recognition Night

On September 18th, 2007, the Children’s Aid Foundation honoured 14 post-secondary graduates and awarded 85 scholarships to youth in the care of the Children’s Aid Society. As well, recipients of the Scotia Capital Stay in School Awards were honoured for their achievements.

Also this year, the Foundation paid tribute to Noella Milne for her significant contribution to the Foundation both as a donor, as well as through her services as a Board member and Chair of the Board. Also receiving awards were Dianne Blencoe for her continuing volunteer commitment, TD Waterhouse Private Giving Foundation for their contribution to the creation of the Transition to Independence program, BMO Bank of Montreal for their leadership in developing and promoting the J.J. Bear Holiday Hug program and Cresford Developments for their partnership in building the new home of the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto as well as their

generous donation of a condo for the 20th anniversary Teddy Bear Affair.
