2012-2013 Foundation Scholarship Applications

NO EXCEPTIONS!  Please note if you miss the scholarship deadline you may be eligible for a bursary (you do not have to do a separate bursary application)
 
We are pleased to invite all eligible students who plan to register in full-time, post-secondary education at an accredited College or University for the 2012-2013 academic year to apply for a Foundation scholarship.
 
Completing this one application entitles you to be considered for all the support the Foundation has to offer to assist with the costs of a post-secondary education.

 
ELIGIBILITY

• Current or former Crown Ward for a minimum of one year and within the five years immediately preceding attendance at a post-secondary institution
• Under 26 years of age at the start of the school year (or under 30 if you are already receiving support)
• Enrolled* full-time at an accredited post-secondary institution 
             
 o Students applying to a post secondary college or university for Fall, 2012 are invited to apply conditional on their acceptance.
 
 
 
WHICH APPLICATION FORM SHOULD YOU COMPLETE?
 
New Application - to be completed by:

• 1st time applicants to the Foundation
• Returning applicants who did not apply in 2011
• Returning applicants who received a bursary but not a scholarship in 2011
• Returning applicants who are commencing a new program of study

Mandatory Requirements for New Applications

• Worker Reference Form. Click here for Worker Reference Form (social workers only to access)
• Resume
• Official transcript from last academic institution
(This must be sent directly from the institution.)

Optional but highly recommended to enhance your application:
 
• 2nd Reference Form. Click here for a printable 2nd Reference Form
(References can be teachers, foster parents, or employers. They cannot be friends or relatives.) 

Renewal Application - to be completed by:

• Returning applicants who received a scholarship in 2011 and are continuing in the same program

NOTE: References are not required for renewal applications
 
Bursary Application - to be completed by:
 
• Part-time students
• Students applying for support for the Winter or Summer 2012 semesters only
