Get Involved - Join our Volunteer Team!

The Children's Aid Foundation is a small organization and we rely on our amazing team of volunteers to help us in our fundraising activities. We are always looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to help with a variety of jobs. So help us to help those children and youth in need - we couldn't do it without you!

Ways to Get Involved

Event Volunteers

We have a number of fundraising events throughout the year that require the assistance of volunteers in order to ensure that they run smoothly and successfully. From setup to teardown, there are a variety of positions that need to be filled.

Past volunteers opportunities for 2008:

Golf Classic

Va-va-volunteer!  The 2008 Golf Classic was a raging success.  Participants had a great time and volunteers bonded over yummy food and beautiful weather…all for a wonderful cause.  Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who made an effort to come out, we couldn’t have done it with out you!

Women’s Golf Classic

Spa service, sampling stations, and Sandra Post, oh my!  The volunteers for the Women’s Golf Classic are one dedicated bunch!  Despite cold weather and the occasional downpour, the dedicated volunteers stayed on course during the whole tournament.  An especially big thank you to all you brave souls!

The following event volunteer opportunities are currently available:

Recognition Night

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 at the MTCC

We need to recognize!  Recognition Night is an annual evening dedicated to honor post-secondary graduates and/or scholarship winners in care of the Children’s Aid Society.  Recognition Night also allows the Children’s Aid Foundation to recognize businesses and individuals who have helped support neglected and abused youth across Canada.  Always a memorable evening!

Saturday, November 15th, 2008 at the MTCC

This annual fundraising gala is definitely an affair to remember!  Celebrating its 22nd year, this high-end gala features a cocktail reception, gourmet dinner, luxury live auction, silent auction, Tiffany & Co raffle, dancing and live entertainment.    Winner of several awards including the 2006 Best Fundraising Event!

Sunday, December 21st, 2008 - Fairmont Royal York Hotel

The Children Aid Foundation’s annual Holiday Season Celebration serves children and youth a cup of holiday cheer!  Catering to 1,000 foster children in care of the Children’s Aid Society, the Holiday Season Celebration gets these kids in the spirit of the season.  Festive foster families enjoy entertainment, excitement and elves!  Ho ho ho hoping you’ll come out!

Office Volunteers

We also need daytime volunteers during the work week to help with various tasks around the office. Volunteers will assist in general clerical support such as data entry, filing, photocopying, researching, mail outs and other duties depending on the time of year.
