The Slaight Family Foundation

The goal of the Slaight Family Foundation Right at Home Program is to support young people transitioning from the child welfare system who are at risk becoming homeless. The Right at Home program ensures youth in transition have the supports they need in their journey toward securing stable housing or housing maintenance.

Delivered in partnership with Pacific Community Resources Society in Vancouver, RaY Inc. in Winnipeg, and with a variety of partners including the CAS’s, Covenant House and Eva’s Initiatives in Toronto, program components include financial supports for housing such as first and last month’s rent and access to a caring housing navigator/expert to coach youth through this transitional period. We help young people secure sustainable house so they can focus on completing their studies, secure sustainable employment and stand a greater chance of leaving behind the generational cycle of poverty and neglect.
