You can help the Children’s Aid Foundation and Scotiabank make a difference in the lives of Canada’s most vulnerable kids.

On Wednesday, April 10, 2014, Scotiabank’s Institutional Equity group is holding its annual Charity Trading Day.  All agency commissions on institutional equity trades made that day are being donated to charities including the Children’s Aid Foundation.  The objective of the day is to support the social, emotional, intellectual and physical health and well-being of children and young people across the country.

“We are very proud of this day, and specifically our partnership with CAF,” says Patrick Burke, Managing Director and Head of Global Equity at Scotiabank. “Scotiabank to the core believes strongly in giving back to the community.”

We thank Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets for the continued and tremendous support. Since 2005, Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets has donated $3,350,000 to the Children’s Aid Foundation’s Stay in School Program, helping over 19,000 kids in 17 communities across Canada succeed in school. Research has shown that regular access to tutoring and special awards that celebrate kids, accomplishments have a major impact on helping them focus in school, improve their grades and create a desire to succeed.

Please support this incredible day by directing your trades through Scotiabank on Charity Trading Day. Learn more here.
