Thank YOU! $1.9M raised for at-risk kids in our community.

In honour of 30 years of impact, we launched our Teddy Bear Fund at this year’s CAF Gala. Aimed at responding to the changing needs of children in care as they grow, the Fund will allocate essential resources where they are needed most.

On Saturday, November 26, glamorous guests from across the city gathered in support of the 30th annual #CAFGala – Teddy Bear Affair. With a dinner custom-created by Piano Piano’s Chef Victor Barry, guests also enjoyed an array of exclusive auction items, including one-of-a-kind art pieces and vacation packages. The evening also included an emotional performance by former youth in care and aerial artist, Anna, and the debut of a unique song by Slaight Music artists, Jessica Mitchell and Jillea, based on the experiences of two former youth in care, Chana and Mercy, in a true testament of the strength and resilience of vulnerable kids. Hosted by Big Brother Canada’s charismatic Arisa Cox, the evening also featured the music of children’s choir Sistema Toronto, the Canadian Tenors, Juno award-winning artist, Sean Jones, and students from Wexford Collegiate.

A special thank you to this year’s Patron Partners, CIBC and CGI, our Entertainment Sponsor, The Slaight Family Foundation, Honorary Chairs, Victor and Maureen Dodig, as well as the CAF Gala – Teddy Bear Affair Committee and all of our incredible volunteers. The night wouldn’t have been possible without you!
