For another year, the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada celebrated the achievements of funding recipients and donors at our 18th annual Recognition Night. Hosted by Cityline’s Tracy Moore, the evening recognized the resilience of funding recipients, each of whom has been involved in the child welfare system, as well as the life-changing generosity of donors.

“Too often, too many young people are left behind. That’s why an organization like the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada and generous donors who support it are so important. You represent a bulldozer knocking down barriers, which the rest of society is content with not addressing.” – Ricky, Recognition Night youth speaker

One of such recognized donors was Ilan Levy, an individual whose made an incredible impact in the lives of at-risk youth. Although Ilan sadly passed away last year, he bequeathed a transformational $1.8 million to the Foundation to establish the Ilan Levy Post-Graduate Scholarships, providing new opportunities to students pursuing graduate degrees, as well as the Ilan Levy Graduation Awards of Excellence, which provide monetary awards to students who have completed a diploma or degree. To honour his contributions, a special tribute video debuted at the event.
