There are many personal and meaningful ways to get involved in the Stand Up for Kids movement and to be an ally to Canada’s most vulnerable children and youth – those who have experienced abuse and neglect. From volunteering at one of the Foundation’s signature events, to hosting a fundraising event of your own, we can help you find the way that’s right for you.
This fall, Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada is proud to be an official charity partner for both the EXACT Yorkville Run and the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. Participants of each are given the opportunity to choose a charity to fundraise for as they take part in the run.
We are very excited to have TROY, former youth in care, youth ambassador, program funding recipient, and former member of our Young Person’s Advisory Council, joining us as our run ambassador this year! He will be participating in both runs and is standing up for kids and supporting vulnerable young people by raising essential funds to help them overcome the barriers they face to a brighter future.

When you sign up to walk or run in either of these events and choose to fundraise for the Foundation’s Stand Up for Kids campaign, you are helping to support the delivery of high-impact programs that directly serve Canadian young people and families who are at risk of or have experienced the child welfare system. These programs aim to strengthen at-risk families so they can stay together, support kids in care, and empower youth as they transition out of care, and are run in collaboration with our 74 child- and youth-serving agency partners across Canada.
